AEDP Practice Group for Therapists starting October 16, 2024

For therapists studying AEDP at any level who want to continue learning experientially and in community.

As an Experiential Assistant at AEDP trainings, I have had the pleasure of leading many small groups through AEDP practice sessions. These are the groups where each person rotates through the role of therapist, client, and witness.  The beauty of these groups is that the focus is on the learning of the therapist, giving you an opportunity to stretch, take risks, and try new things.

This is a low-pressure way to play, experiment, see what’s going well, notice your impact, and build your skills and confidence.  I am taking these groups outside of formal AEDP trainings in order to continue practicing together. I am not certified in AEDP and hours will not count towards AEDP certification.  I will not provide didactic training or show video- this will be purely a practice group.

At each meeting I will:

  • suggest an AEDP principle to focus on and provide a prompt 
  • offer suggestions for AEDP interventions in real time
  • track and review the arc of each session 
  • note the key choice points and their outcomes
  • provide feedback about what’s working 

Groups will have 3-4 participants and 1 facilitator. Everyone will get a chance to practice at every meeting.
